Building Better Care as BBC Health

bbc

As a new year begins, so too begins a new era within our practice.  It is with great pleasure that we announce our new name…BBC Health!  BBC stands for “Building Better Care”, which has become our mission as we are one of the only practices in our area to offer integrative primary care.  Those of you who have been patients of ours for years (some of you decades) have seen us change our name before, but we expect this to be the last time.

Don’t worry…nothing else is changing!   The reason for this name change is two-fold.  Firstly, we have grown tremendously over the past few years to now offer multiple avenues of healthcare.  As an integrative practice, we “integrate” several different specialties into a team that offers primary medical care, physical medicine care, chiropractic care, physical rehab, weight loss, and mental health counseling.   We are truly a one-stop shop for your primary healthcare needs! Since we are now able to focus on so much more beyond the back and the body, we believe BBC Health will provide a name that all our services can more clearly operate under.

Secondly, since the abbreviations of Back and Body Clinic are already BBC, we have used this acronym for several years as a shorthand for our practice.  It makes great sense to keep it, but we now say it as an acronym for our motto, “Building Better Care”.  We believe this motto best describes the heart of what we have tried to accomplish within our practice since day one.

A brief history…Amason Chiropractic Center was first established in Lewisville in 1982 by Dr. Bruce Amason.  Dr. Amason faithfully served thousands of patients within the North Texas community until 2010, when Dr. Matthew Gilbert, a relative of Dr. Amason’s, took over the practice so he could retire.  In 2010, Dr. Gilbert renamed the practice Back & Body Chiropractic and tried to carry out the great legacy that was already established.  In 2015, we were able to add other chiropractors as we grew.  In 2018, we began offering physical medicine services to better help our patients, and in 2019 we rebranded as The Back & Body Clinic.  In 2020, we moved into our new 5000-square-foot state-of-the-art location on Main Street across from Medical City Lewisville.  Also, at that time we partnered with Southwestern Health Resources to become a primary care practice within the same networks as UT Southwestern and Texas Health practices.  In 2022, we began offering mental health counseling in-house and via telemedicine.

We are so thankful for all our patients over the years who have trusted us to serve them.  Without you, we would not be able to grow and diversify as we have.  We look forward to continuing to “Build Better Care” as BBC Health in the years to come!
